Frerichs warns of harm to Unclaimed Property
Chuck Sullivan drove from Champaign to Springfield to help the state treasurer amplify his message against a new Senate bill which, Sullivan says, would have allowed a cell phone company to keep a $50 check it owed him.
“This bill would limit or eliminate a tool that the treasurer’s office currently has as its disposal.”
“We think that’s a ridiculous claim,” says the bill’s main proponent, Illinois Chamber of Commerce president Todd Maisch.
