$15 minimum wage sponsor: 'The House stands ready to act'

The Illinois Senate approved a bill Thursday to gradually raise the minimum wage to $15 over the next six years.

Gov. JB Pritzker, D-Illinois, applauded senators for passing the bill.
“Today was a major victory for working families all across the state of Illinois, but our work is not done,” Pritzker said. “I urge the House of Representatives to take up and pass this legislation.”
