ILLINOIS CHAMBER VP GLORIA GUY

APPOINTED TO UIS MANAGEMENT PROGRAM ALUMNI ADVISORY BOARD

 

 

Springfield, IL – Illinois Chamber of Commerce Vice President of Business Services Gloria Guy has been appointed to the University of Illinois - Springfield Management Program Alumni Advisory Board, according to Dr. Joseph Hughes, Director of Development, College of Business and Management at UIS, Springfield.

 

As Vice President of Business Services for the Chamber, Guy is responsible for identifying, developing and marketing the association’s products and services for Illinois businesses, such as its HR and compliance-related seminars and manuals. She has been with the Illinois Chamber since 1994 serving in a number of positions in member services, marketing and communications, government affairs and the Chamber’s Political Action Committee, and was promoted to Vice President in 2006. Guy also serves as Executive Director of the Drug-Free Illinois Workplace Program, a program managed by the Illinois Chamber and funded by the Illinois Department of Human Services Bureau of Community-Based & Primary Prevention and the Division of Alcoholism & Substance Abuse that provides workplace testing, policy advice, and program assistance to reduce the impact of drugs in the workplace.

Guy is a graduate of the Institute for Organization Management, a four-year nonprofit leadership training program of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Management from the University of Illinois at Springfield. Guy resides in Decatur.
