Illinois Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Doug Whitley responded to the Governor’s FY09 budget proposal to cut corporate taxes by saying the Governor could keep the one-time $300 million because businesses can’t afford the proposed annual payroll tax increase that would cost them more than $1
billion.
